2019 Tour Champion Crowned in NYC
On Monday, October 7th, the 2019 American Lamb Jam Tour culminated with a finale hosted at the Saveur Magazine Test Kitchen in New York City. Winning chefs from this year’s Austin, Boston, Washington DC, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco Lamb Jams put their Best in Show lamb dishes to the test in front of thirty members of the NYC food media in a bid to be named National Lamb Jam Champion.
After the votes were counted Chef Liz Barwick of Sarma in Somerville, MA was named the 2019 National Lamb Jam Champion with her Turkish Smoked and Roasted Lamb Shoulder, presented in a popover-like feta and lamb-fat borek.
